Photography techniques
During my third semester at Noroff I had the opportunity to explore various creative photography techniques. Below are some of the best images from my assignments that showcase these techniques.
The first technique I experimented with is Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). This approach involves deliberately moving the camera during the exposure to create abstract, dynamic images. Although it might seem unconventional to observers, as I waved my camera around, the resulting photos proved to be quite striking and visually engaging.
The second technique draws inspiration from the 17th-century Silleven style. The photos were captured in a dark room, using only a small flashlight inside a bag as a light source. The flashlight was moved to “paint” highlights onto the subject, creating dramatic lighting effects that emphasize shadows and texture.
